Centennial TT On The Prom
There was only one fitting way to celebrate the Centenary of the Isle of Man TT (the biggest party the festival ever )
For nine nights in 2007, the roar of incredible machines and thousands of fans filled the air as TT on the Prom brought the most thrilling entertainment on wheels to Douglas Promenade.
World Champion stunt riders journeyed to the Isle of Man to do battle for TT Freestyle Stunt Championship title, and you can witness the incredible skills of Christian Pfeiffer, Humberto Ribiero, Matti Tepsa, Mattie Griffen and Angyal Zoltan.
Crowd pleaser Steve Colley shows exactly why he's the number one extreme trials rider, including setting a new World Record, and the Honda Bolddog Lings Freestyle MX team thrill the fans with huge leaps , including a 360 degree back flip.
Also, the Pyromaniac unleashes the awesome power of the jet-powered quad, with its ear-splitting roar and bright-burning flames. It wasn't all high octane - the Free Runners, stars of TV and film, may have been on foot, but their brave leaps were still spectacular.
Centennial TT on the Prom came to a stunning end with a star-studded gathering of TT legends and iconic machinery. This was an extraordinary chance to see vintage race-winning machines close-up, and hear their engines roar back into life, as well as hearing from the great names from TT history, including Mick Grant, Phil Read and Michelle Duff in conversation with the late Geoff Cannell.
